The ceramic tree-shaped podiatry bur is named for its resemblance to a pine or Christmas tree. This bur is commonly employed for reducing thickened nails, smoothing calluses, and polishing of nails. Thanks to its blunt tapered end it can be easily ultilised in areas where where a finer tip is necessary, such as interdigital spaces and reducing cuticles.
The narrower variant offers enhanced control compared to the wide variant, but its reduced diameter results in a decrease in cutting capacity.
